LAST FILM 2010 – Let’s Go Out With A Bang

In all honesty and for a hundred reasons, this year hasn’t been a success for the Dunbar Film Society in terms of its audiences.

The programme has been excellent and can’t be held to blame (can it?).

I’d like to ask if you can help the final screening be the most popular of the year.  It’s the excellent, life-affirming, amusing and thought-provoking film ‘Lars And The Real Woman’.  It will be shown at Hallhill on Friday 26th November at 8 o’clock.  Entrance costs £5 and the drinks can be taken in from the bar.  The bar will also stay open for those wanting to make more of their evening after the film.

I’d like to see 50 people there.  There might be a few surprises to help encourage you along, but that will have to wait.  We should be in a position to announce the programme for next year by then.

I saw ’35 Shot Of Rum’ on Friday and very enjoyable it was too.

Please come along, if only to give the society a shot in the arm as we move into 2011.

Look forwards to seeing you there,
